CARDIOPULMONARY
Extra-corporeal blood circulation systems include oxygenators, heart-lung machines, perfusion tubing sets, cannulae and accessories, and autologous blood transfusion systems. These systems are used to keep patients alive during open heart surgery by performing the functions of the heart and lungs. The Cardiopulmonary Business Unit offers a complete line of adult and pediatric products.

•  In cardiac surgery, one out of every two operations performed in the world using extra-corporeal circulation rely on systems manufactured by SORIN GROUP.

CARDIAC RHYTHM MANAGEMENT
Devices in this therapeutic area include implantable cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker systems to restore normal cardiac rhythm; cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) systems to treat heart failure; and arrhythmia assessment systems.

• SORIN GROUP strives to offer innovative solutions for better patient outcomes. The SonR™ sensor, a breakthrough technology for continuous adjustment of cardiac resynchronization, is a perfect example.

HEART VALVES
SORIN GROUP’s portfolio includes tissue and mechanical valves as well as annuloplasty rings to replace or repair native diseased or dysfunctional heart valves.

• Perceval™ S, SORIN GROUP’s new self-anchoring sutureless heart valve significantly reduces surgical time compared to traditional cardiac surgery. Its innovative design allows more precise positioning of the heart valve prosthesis.
