CENTRIFUGAL DEVICES

Sorin Group's centrifugal pump devices are setting new standards in flexibility, ease of use, safety and ergonomics. The Revolution®, SCP and ERC® devices (see below) easily integrate with the new S5 perfusion system and are operated using the Sorin Centrifugal Pump Console (SCPC).

The SCPC System enables you to configure the system according to your individual requirements. And all settings for the operation and the configuration of the monitoring devices can be controlled via the SCPC's touchscreen.

REVOLUTION® — Bringing High Performance to the SCP Centrifugal Pump

Excellent flow dynamics and air handling
With Revolution, you will achieve desired flow rates with minimal revolutions per minute. Thanks to its open impeller design, it is easy to prime and debubble.

Increased reliability
The ferrous particle impregnated nylon magnet is injection molded with features that, combined with the impeller, improve durability. Seal-less, low friction bearings improve pump head reliability. In addition, Revolution has been designed to minimize heat generation and blood trauma.

Superior design
Revolution combines superior efficiency and air handling capability with low prime volume, low heat generation and a low index of hemolysis. In addition, revolution is available with PC biocompatible coating.

Centrifugal Systems - SCP

SCP
Sorin Centrifugal Pump System

The SCP is the hardware that drives the Revolution® disposable pump. It integrates into the S5™ system and interfaces with the pump safety devices.

Unique safety and control
Pump safety devices such as low level, bubble, and retrograde flow alarms interface via the S5, C5™, SIII ENCORE™, SIII, and SCPC (for non-Sorin HLM users). The integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) gives SCP users unparalleled convenience and peace of mind.

Space savings
Because the SCP is integrated into the S5, the mast-mounted SCP reduces console base size so that valuable OR space is conserved.

Easy setup and adjustment
A 3-joint hydraulic arm allows flexible setup and easy adjustment which may lead to reduced tubing lengths. The fast-clamp mast mounting system and simple cable connections to the HLM make setup quick and simple.

Centrifugal Systems - ERC

ERC® — Electrical Remote-Controlled Tubing Clamp

The Electrical Remote-Controlled Tubing Clamp (ERC) is designed for operation with the SCP (Sorin Centrifugal Pump) System to improve the safety of centrifugal perfusion. Using state-of-the-art technology, Sorin has developed an added safeguard against air delivery during centrifugal blood perfusion.

Improved safety
ERC provides additional safety protection against air delivery during centrifugal pump perfusion. When certain conditions are detected (level, bubble or retrograde flow), the ERC occludes the arterial line immediately to minimize the danger of air delivery.

Ultimate ease of use
The clamp can be opened and closed at any time by pressing the respective key on the SCP control panel or by manually opening or closing the clamp head. The 3-joint mast holder and clamp connector provide convenient positioning.
