SonRtip™

SonRtip™

The technology is in the tip

SonRtip is the only atrial pacing lead featuring an embedded hermetically-sealed micro-accelerometer1
The micro-accelerometer functions as a sensor providing access to exciting new technologies in the treatment of heart failure:
Measures the vibrations that correlate to S1 heart sounds
• Connects to the only CRT-D system able to measure real-time contractility and automatically optimizes timing cycles at rest and exercise

More than an atrial lead

While the SonRtip lead functions as a standard atrial lead, it also functions as a sensor to measure vibrations that correlate to heart sounds2
The SonRtip lead:
• Can be easily implanted anywhere in the atrial wall2
• Accurately measures cardiac muscle vibrations that reflect the first heart sound from any position in the atrium

SonRtip SENSOR – KEY FEATURES

• The SonRtip sensor is a piezoceramic transducer loaded by a platinum/iridium seismic mass, converting flexural stresses to electricity
• A micro spring integrated into the sensor increases sensitivity while providing additional protection and shock resistance
• The sensor signal is amplified and transmitted to the PARADYM™ RF SonR CRT-D device through a micro electronic circuit to ensure long-term signal integrity

PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING
The SonRtip lead’s good electrical performance and handling characteristics allow you to feel confident in choosing the desired pacing site2
• Good torquability and steerability for optimal lead placement in the atrial wall3
• The SonRtip lead provides excellent electrical performance through stable pacing thresholds and sensing amplitudes2
• The SonRtip lead uses a PEG-coated fixed screw ‘sugar tip’ fixation

SAFETY AND RELIABILITY
Rigorous bench testing demonstrated the long-term reliability and performance of the SonRtip lead and sensor
• Extensive bench-testing of the SonRtip lead reported zero failures
• Rigorous stress testing of the SonRtip lead sensor of over 200 million cycles resulted in no degradation of the SonR signal

RELIABLE LEAD BODY CONSTRUCTION2
The SonRtip lead body construction is designed to provide optimal safety and reliability even in the most rigorous of conditions2
SonRtip lead body features:
• A 6.6F, four-lumen silicone insulation lead body for excellent flexibility and durability
• A polyurethane sheath overlaid on the silicone lead body for enhanced torquability and handling
• A pacing coil manufactured using a five wire construction with two micro cables for enhanced flexibility
• The SonRtip connector consists of a silicone-filled transition spring that provides resistance to fluid infiltration and structural stress during lead implantation
